Example complaints

Equipment: “Recall service for norcold refrigerator installed in 2005 Winnebago Adventurer motorhome. Recall notice received nov. 10. 2010 from norcold. I called my service/dealer to get it repaired. Today they informed me the part would not be available until the first week of january, 2011. I called norcold and was told the parts were on back order and would be shipped about dec. 13th. I feel this is completely wrong that I have to wait so long to get something repaired that they sold as being ok. Now they say it could cause a fire. …”

Brakes: “The contact owns a 2005 Winnebago Adventurer rv. The vehicle was taken directly to the dealer for diagnosis where the contact was advised that the auto park brake system failed. The vehicle was not repaired and the manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure and current mileage was 34,000. Updated 09/02/11 updated 2/22/12”

NHTSA complaint #10371604, filed 2010-12

Other or unknown: “April, 2016, rv parked and propane could be smelled. It was determined that it was coming from a cracked weld on a 2009 manchester tank model 68129, Winnebago # 144116-01-000. This 2009 tank was a replacement for a 2005 tank, same Winnebago #, that was installed under NHTSA campaign number: 09v113000 for a cracked weld with leaking propane. Winnebago accepts no responsibility for the failure and manchester says there is no recall for this tank. The newest tank is a 2015 manchester tank same model and Winnebago # as described above. …”
