“I just bought a new chevy bolt euv from a dealership here in Michigan. No sooner than me driving off their lot, a pickup truck damn near ram into me. I was in thick traffic following slow vehicles and the only damage cause was a skid mark on the road he cause. No damages to my bolt. He roll down and said fix your brake lights. I yell back, it's factory! I'm scared to hold onto this vehicle when it comes to winter time. Most vehicle's license plate get obscured by snow. These brake lights and turn signals are even below the license plate. A recall and a redesign needs to happen. …”

“The contact owns a 2023 Chevrolet Bolt EUV. The contact stated that on the driver's side, the wiper bolt had loosened causing the wiper to disassemble in multiple places and detach from the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the wiper had failed and needed to be replaced. The wiper was replaced but not repaired due to the one ordered not being suitable for the vehicle. The dealer informed the contact that the arm used for the blade associated with the vehicle was on backorder. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. …”

NHTSA complaint #11576531, filed 2024-03, 45,000 miles

“The camera system—including the backup cameras when you put it in reverse— more often than not produce an error on the display screen instead of a view of the rear rendering this mandated safety device unusable. It is available for inspection. The rear view camera is a mandated safety device required on all passenger vehicles. Not having it available makes it much easier to back into other vehicles or pedestrians walking behind the vehicle. This is a reproducible issue. It was inspected by a dealer and a problem was confirmed. It was repaired with a new module under warranty. …”
