“The gasket on a rear light deteriorated causing a leak in the trunk of the car. First addressed it with the dealership in the fall of 2019. They said they couldn't find anything. Happened again as covid began. When the dealership was able, they tried to repair the car and to remove the mold that had grown & did an ionizing treatment. They said it didn't work. Asked us to contact chevy customer service. We've been waiting since may 8 for resolution to the mold issue. The car is now beyond repair. We've sent numerous emails and called repeatedly. …”

NHTSA complaint #11340963, filed 2020-07, 26,500 miles

“I started noticing a very bad odor of mold and mildew coming from the A/C vents. I took the car into the dealer I purchased in early 2014. The dealer said they looked at it and could not find anything wrong. After I took it in again for a bad odor, they said there was a recall on the rear tail lights letting water in the trunk. A couple months later I checked the trunk and the carpet was all wet, when I checked the spare tire compartment it was 2 inches of water. I started checking everywhere and found the carpet in the front driver seat very wet. …”

NHTSA complaint #10622164, filed 2014-08, 22,000 miles

“During a long trip I had my heated seats on high. I had hurt my back and the heat helped keep the back muscle loose. I had removed my coat, but still had a long sleeve shirt on. No bare skin was touching the seat. After about 8 hours on the road, I started feeling discomfort on my lower back like a sun burn. I showed my wife and she said I had 2 large (size of half dollar) blisters on my lower back. I had no idea this cold happen from a heated seat. There is n warning I could find that states this could happen . My heated seats do not turn off, they stay on until you turn the car off. …”

NHTSA complaint #10554676, filed 2013-12, 4,300 miles

“The Automatic Occupant Sensing (AOS) system fails to suppress the front passenger air bag with no passenger in the seat. The airbag on light stays on. There is no code triggered in the system. This also causes the unbuckled passenger seatbelt warning to chime with no passenger in the seat.”

NHTSA complaint #11516150, filed 2023-04

“GM had sent a letter in March 2020 about a known defect with the passenger presence module that wires could become disconnected over time, leading to a service airbag message and the passenger airbag failing to deploy when commanded. GM stated that they would provide additional protection (read extended warranty) on this condition to be repaired at no cost within 8 years of the date the vehicle was placed in service or 80000 miles, whichever was first. …”
