“While I was driving on the highway, my vehicle gave me a 'service side detection system' warning. A few more miles down the road, I smelled an electrical smell almost like something was burning. Luckily, I made it home and am taking it to the dealership tomorrow. It was very scary and I'm thankful my 1 year old son wasn't in the car with me at that time.”

NHTSA complaint #11302546, filed 2020-01, 84,500 miles

“Side detection warning system failed and as a result while I was driving the electrical cluster and air bag system alert theft alert starting beeping flashing only half of the stuff works when it feels like it I cant drive the car air bags could deploy at anytime trunk could open doors come unlocked you cant see how fast your going so my car is parked in a garage undrivable”

NHTSA complaint #11307692, filed 2020-02, 82,000 miles

“Service blind detection system. This warning came on after 1 day of purchasing my 2014 Impala so I took car back and the dealer took it to chevy to fix the recall but I was told that they're to many miles on my vehicle. This issue needs to be fixed because I'm within my 15days if used vehicle warranty and if this issue continues this could cause other issues as I have read due to reviews on this issue. …”

NHTSA complaint #11216986, filed 2019-05, 111,927 miles

“The blindspot detection system module failed and it messed up all my electrical systems in the car thw speedometer RPM and fuel and temperature gauges bottomed out to 0. All the lights came on . The vehicle was in motion doing 79 MPH on the interstate. On star thought I was in an accident.”

NHTSA complaint #11202653, filed 2019-04, 66,500 miles

“I leased the car brand new in october 2014 and my passenger headlight burned out. I took it to the dealership to have it replaced and found out that it will cost $350 to replace the bulb (the warranty was for 3 years or 36k miles, I have 41k miles on it). However, the light bulbs should last longer than 2 years on a brand new car. I called GM and they said they could do nothing.”
