“The power steering failed on a interstate ramp, I pulled to the side and restarted the car and it worked again. It failed two more times on the drive home and twice while driving to the dealership. The car had 11035 miles and was 40 months old. I had to pay $3051 to have the power steering rack replaced.”

NHTSA complaint #11297991, filed 2020-01, 11,035 miles

“I was driving on the interstate at approx 70 MPH when the power steering quit working. Two warning messages came on stating that the power steering needed to be serviced , the stabilitrack needed to be serviced and the ABS warning light came on. The car became difficult to steer. I had my son and a neighbor's child in the car with me. It was not a safe condition.”

NHTSA complaint #11078485, filed 2018-03, 65,000 miles

“I get intermittent service stabilitrack, service brake assist, service traction control notifications where my odometer reading is as well as ABS and electronic stabilitycontrol illuminations almost immediately after shifting my vehicle into drive and turning and it is during motion. Also there is grinding and hard and difficult braking during these illuminations...”

NHTSA complaint #11120911, filed 2018-08, 64,000 miles

“My Impala 2014 was making a loud noise from, the rear of the vehicle as if it was the muffler. The noise could only be heard while I was inside the vehicle. I had my wife stand outside while I drove the vehicle down our street and the loud noise could not be heard outside of the vehicle. We could hear the noise once the vehicle reached 20 MPH. …”

NHTSA complaint #11048377, filed 2017-11, 85,000 miles

“Driving on the highway and dash notification popped up that I needed to service my power steering, service my stabiltrac, service ABS. I lost power (electric) steering and barely able to exit and park safely. I'm a small woman with not much strength and I could hardly turn my wheel with every bit of muscle. This is not safe! I could've been seriously injured or died along with other drivers/vehicles! This needs to be a complete recall!!!!”
