“I am writing regarding an ongoing and serious issue with my 2026 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 RST 2.7L that continues to occur despite multiple visits to the dealership. Recently, as I was leaving my house, I entered my truck and started the vehicle as normal. Immediately after startup, approximately eight warning lights and system failure messages appeared on the dashboard simultaneously. …”
NHTSA complaint #11738317, filed 2026-05“The vehicle's power steering went out mid drive on the road after being driven about 2 miles. I was unable to turn the wheel. I attempted to restart the car at that point is when the engine would not start. The truck did not move in the middle of traffic. This is caused by some electrical problem. The dealer does not know what the issue is and they could not duplicate the issue. It is the second time it has happened to me.”
NHTSA complaint #11773482, filed 2026-10“No warning lamps or chimes. Truck shut down as I was pulling into my garage. Shifted to neutral on its own and a message on the dash said to put it in park and restart the engine. This event happened on 9/15/26. The truck has 1400 miles on the odometer.”
NHTSA complaint #11765347, filed 2026-09“At 150 miles on the odemeter the tpm light came on I pulled off the highway, got out and checked all 4 tires. Not noticing any issues I got back on the highway and turned on the stereo. The speakers sounded like they were blown apart. Static and the sound of muffled vibrations. I drove to my intended destination and turned off the truck. After finishing my business at this location I started the truck and the tpm light was not iluminated. This is a hige safty issue. …”
NHTSA complaint #11707432, filed 2025-12“While driving in a parking lot. Barely applying throttle to move straight forward not turning or driving on a rough road the truck completely shut off all screens went blank and I wasn't able to accelerate. I was able to restart the truck, shift into drive and continue but took a few seconds to realize the issue and properly restart the engine. Thankfully this occurred while in a parking lot without anyone behind me but this is a real concern for me now driving on streets/highways with other vehicles around. …”
