NHTSA complaint #11667198, filed 2025-06

“Takata recall: it's been over 9 months since I received a recall notice regarding my Suburban. I have made several calls and still no fix for the problem. I have also had problems with the emission sensor caused by gas tank cap. This appears to be a problem for all suburbans. I also experienced a loss in power with this vehicle while on the highway. The stabilitrqck light came on and I was able to safely exit the highway. Could have been a severe accident if inwas not near an exit.”

NHTSA complaint #10949307, filed 2017-02

The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic who was unable to diagnose the failure. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The VIN was not available. The failure mileage was 40,000 and the current mileage was 111,000.”

“The contact owns a 2007 Chevrolet Suburban. The contact stated that fuel could be smelled from the interior cabin of the vehicle. The contact made repairs to the fuel system but none of the repairs remedied the odor. The contact was able to determine that the fuel tank was leaking and replaced the fitted.
