“I bought my Trailblazer (which I love) in the spring of 2012. A few months after purchasing the vehicle I came to learn that the horn no longer worked. I know the horn worked when I purchased the car because I checked it. I brought it in to a well renowned repair shop and they told me that their findings after looking it up was that there is a slight glitch with the horn and that, like other forms had stated, the more you use it the better chance of getting it to work. …”
NHTSA complaint #10594203, filed 2014-05, 132,000 miles“I have had many many problems with my 2006 Chevrolet Trailblazer most recently the transmission is bad, I had started complaining to the dealer about the transmission slipping at around 8,000 miles, the truck now has 17,000 miles on it. The dealer refuses to repair it under my warranty. The dealer will not cover the repair. The dealer told me I had to pay out of pocket. I was informed of this on 5/4/2007. I have had many many repairs done on this vehicle, something is not right. …”
NHTSA complaint #10189860, filed 2007-05, 8,000 miles“Acs/ service stabilitrak light comes on while driving and to get it to go off I have to stop and turn the vehicle off and back on again. Also fuel gauge goes from full to empty even on a full tank of gas. When I turn my heat on it will only work on numbers 1-4. Number 5 is completely out. Also there's a squeak in my brakes that I cant get to go away. I replaced the rotors and brakes and had 2 new front wheel speed sensors put on because I was told that was what was causing the service stabilitrak light to come on. But that didn't fix my problem either. …”
NHTSA complaint #10258155, filed 2009-02, 52,000 miles“Faulty fuel gauge / fuel sending unit / fuel reading / fuel pump. I have had to have my fuel pump replaced three times now due to faulty fuel sending units. This is a major problem because my truck now shows that I am always on empty and can be a huge hazard and life endangerment. I don't want to be going down a highway at 70 MPH and have my truck stall. I have replaced this unit twice already and I am now with a faulty one again. All original manufacturer equipment. No after market replacements. It seems that new manufacturer units will work for about 10,000 - 30,000 miles and then fail. …”
NHTSA complaint #10399856, filed 2011-05, 100,000 miles“We have had two 2006 trailblazers and both of them have been nothing but problems for us. The first one we brought we owned it for six months and we had it in the shop six times (broken sway bar, heater two times, windshield wiper fluid holder two times, shaky front wheel and motor misfiring. We traded in hopefully to avoid more problems and went ahead after assurance that this one must just be bad and got another 2006 Trailblazer. This one we have only had for 2 months and we're already having problems. Three days after we bought it had to go to the shop for the radio not working properly. …”
