“The computer that controls everything including the headlights failed causing all my headlights to go out and blow during night time driving, resulting in a crash.!!!!! This is just as bad as a cars brakes totally failing and should be a recall on these ecu/ECM computers on chryslers immediately as the dealer wants to charge $1000 to fix!!! I see hundreds of people reporting the same problem and there are law suits also from this failure!”

NHTSA complaint #10548697, filed 2013-10, 80,900 miles

“All of the dash lights, ABS, brake, interior lights, headlights have been flickering for a solid 3 days. I was driving at night on a non-lit stretch of road when all my lights went out, inside and out with a car approaching from the other direction. I tried to use my high beams and they were out too. I had my children and had to pull over. I have read reviews and this seems to be a huge problem with these cars yet no recall? Why? This is so dangerous! This is my main vehicle I drive for work and with my family. …”

NHTSA complaint #10679417, filed 2015-01, 156,000 miles

“Low beam head light burns out at 34k miles. Replaced h7 (oem) lamp myself because dealer claims it is a maintenance item and not covered under warranty. Upon installing new lamp the other low beam lamp expired. I believe there is a defect and checked my car stats to verify any reports. I see I am not alone.”

NHTSA complaint #10178791, filed 2007-01, 33,500 miles

“While driving on busy road in the rain on 3 different occasions my headlights went out for no apparent reason...I did not realize that they had gone out until I was pulled over by a state trooper and given a ticket...also when my tank reaches 1/2 full the needle will drop to empty and the gas light will come on warning me that I have run out of gas even though I have 1/2 tank of gas in there, almost caused a pile up on the highway...low tire pressure light stays on even when I put air in all 4 tires.”

NHTSA complaint #10460976, filed 2012-06, 159,000 miles

“2004 Chrysler Pacifica. Bought the car with 16000 miles and have had it 6 years now. The last 3-4 years have had problems with constantly replacing headlights and tail lights, approximately every 6 months. Now recently, beginning sept. 2014, the driver side rear running light will not come on. The break light is fine and the parking light is fine, but no running light. I know it is not the bulb, because I used the bulb that was working on the right side and it still did not work. Took it in to a local dealer about 3 years ago and they basically could not find any problem . …”
