NHTSA complaint #11353350, filed 2020-09, 65,000 miles

“I drove to my friends house, and 15 minutes later my car was engulfed in flames! The fire chief said it was an electrical problem that started the fire. My car was not running, and I was not in it.”

NHTSA complaint #10945487, filed 2017-01, 200,000 miles

“While going down the highway at 70mph to pick up my son from school the vehicle stopped accelerating (just after putting a half a tank of gas in) and sputtered a bit like it was running out of gas. It would not start back up again and after my husband inspected it and tested the fuel system, says it is not getting fuel to the motor! If I weren't driving where I was and able to pull off on the side of the road I could have killed someone else (like my small child or someone else) or been killed myself. Very scary and awful!”

NHTSA complaint #11032992, filed 2017-10, 142,000 miles

“I purchased a pre owned 2004 Chrysler Pacifica on november 23, 2013. On december 5, 2013 I started up my car and before I could pull off my gas handle started going up and down really fast, the gas pump symbol was blinking on and off and it was chiming as well. I had a half a tank of gas. I sat there and counted a total of 3-4 times of this handle going up and down. It also did it on december 4, 2013 when I started up car, I had well over a half a tank of gas. …”

NHTSA complaint #10554970, filed 2013-12, 87,000 miles

“Motor mounts have snapped and been replaced 3 times since purchase! Body is too heavy for the frame. Now loud thuds at braking and accelerating. Always have had a fueling issue. Had fuel pumps, sending units, lines, fuel filler nozzle, everything but the tank replaced. Fuel gauge drops to empty even with fuel, when trying to fuel it will not allow it pump will shut off. Usually starts to do this when gas mileage is under 200 remaining. So frustrating. Yet Chrysler denies ever having heard of these issues! I see forums with my same complaint, yet it's a mystery for Chrysler! …”
