“2004 Chrysler Pacifica. In the past 3 months we have replaced the motor mounts and the antilock braking system module. We now have a thrown rod in the motor or a major cylinder problem. The vehicle only has 80,000 miles on it and we maintain it regularly. Are there any other problems that are common for this vehicle?”

NHTSA complaint #10314986, filed 2010-02, 82,500 miles

“Upper radiator hose disconnected from radiator and spilled coolant out. This produced a lot of steam. We took the car to our local Chrysler dealer. Radiator was shot and during repair, mechanic stated that motor mounts were broken. All repairs were covered by an aftermarket extended warranty. In reading the NHTSA site, I note many complaints about the motor mounts. This is a dangerous defect and there should be a recall.”

NHTSA complaint #10451031, filed 2012-03, 60,200 miles

“The engine cradle, was riddled with corrosion and rust. During the driving the vehicles vibrate. My car in for routine maintenance, we are discovering that subframe and engine cradle rust. This is actually driving time bombs.”

NHTSA complaint #10712633, filed 2015-04, 110,000 miles

“Failure of both motor mounts on our 2004 Chrysler Pacifica. Parts from local dealer have been back ordered for weeks. Additional research on my part has shown this is a very common problem with this model. Motor mounts should not fail but especially when the vehicle has less than 90k miles.”

NHTSA complaint #10327712, filed 2010-04, 62,000 miles

“On oct 20,2006 my third (emission failure) has happened to my Chrysler Pacifica 2004 fwd model (48,535 miles). This model had problems in the past-most have been corrected. The first was engine stalling, which was repaired with updated software. The next was my A/C control/HVAC unit which would not light, noise from bushings was replaced. …”
