“When changing the front struts found that the cradle is rusted through in several spots. I have been advised not to drive the car until it can be repaired. At this time I'm not sure how much or if it can even be repaired. At this time unable to upload photos as they are on someone else's phone, not on computer. Will provide if need be.”
NHTSA complaint #10884936, filed 2016-07, 187,500 miles“I was recently at the dealership to receive a routine oils change when I was informed by them that the engine cradle has become rusted and may in the future fail. And according to Chrysler, my vehicle isn't covered by their recall. This should not be the case, as it fits the description of all the other vehicles covered by their recall.”
NHTSA complaint #10759553, filed 2015-08, 116,970 miles“I originally replaced the motor mounts on this vehicle in august of 2011. I am having to replace them for the second time now, january 2015 (mileage 215,000). I should not have to replace motor mounts more than one time in the lifetime of the vehicle. I have had the vehicle properly maintained by the same mechanic for several years.”
NHTSA complaint #10670617, filed 2015-01, 100,000 miles“After an oil change I was informed the engine cradle was rusted through and was dangerous to drive. I called the local dealership and was told that my car didn't qualify for the extended warranty. Now I have a car that is dangerous to drive. The cost to fix it is more than it is worth. Thanks Chrysler, I will never own another of their vehicles.”
NHTSA complaint #10585170, filed 2014-04, 150,000 miles“Cradle under car that holds motor in is all rusted out we were told not to drive car because it is rusted out so bad the motor could fall out as I look up on internet I see others with same problem why did this not call for a recall on these cars”
