“This is the second 2005 pacific that the rocker under the car is cracked and rusted away. I tookbthe car into monroe on jonestown rd harrisburg pa and they explained to me that it is so rusted that the motor will fall out and they wouldn't even do an oil change for me because they didn't want to damage it any farther.”

NHTSA complaint #11270429, filed 2019-10, 180,000 miles

“Took the 2005 Chrysler Pacifica in for an oil change. The technician brought this to our attention and would not perform the oil change because he did not feel safe. Now I have to find some way to come up with $3000 ‐ 5000 to repair. I still owe $7000 on it. My wife and 2 children ride in this on a daily basis and now the engine could just drop out of it.”

NHTSA complaint #10872319, filed 2016-06, 109,853 miles

“Just got new tires no mention, they used floor jacks. Getting new front struts and rear wheel spindles (getting ready for winter) and my mechanic showed me the cradle rot and said he wouldn't touch it and explained the safety issues related. Cost potentially associated with repair. Cost to repair is more than the vehicle is worth.”

NHTSA complaint #10906911, filed 2016-09, 183,000 miles

“Rusted engine cradle with fractured frame mounting discovered when searching for a drip source under the vehicle. This is a known manufacturing defect, yet the corporation did not warn me of this problem, despite a recall for other pacificas made within a very narrow manufacturing window of time. This is unacceptable and now provides a risk to driving. What am I to do?”

NHTSA complaint #10863084, filed 2016-05, 138,000 miles

“I took my vehicle in for a routine oil change and I was informed that my subframe is completely rusted and the engine is on the verge of falling out the vehicle. Mechanic stated that this is a very common issue with this particular vehicle. The mechanic told me that the vehicle is no longer safe to drive and the cost of this repair will be upwards of $3000.”
