Example complaints

Selected from NHTSA records; personal details are removed. They are consumer reports, not findings.

“While driving my vehicle at 60 MPH my lights started to flicker on and off. Eventually they stopped but the driver side headlight had never came back on. I replaced the bulb and still nothing. Being on the highways I felt I was causing distractions to other drivers from my headlights malfunctioning and putting myself in danger without having the proper lighting to drive safely.”

NHTSA complaint #11390428, filed 2021-01, 69,561 miles

“Chexk engine light has been coming on and off for the past few days. Got it scanned and the code the comes up is a p052 - faulty oul pressure sensor. After some research I found there are quite a few other models effected by this issue but only certain ones are being repaired without cost to customer. On my dash the oil preasure reads at 85%-100% at idle and stays at 100% when giving it gas.”

NHTSA complaint #11192617, filed 2019-03, 72,100 miles

“The infotainment system head unit failed causing GPS navigation, HVAC/blower, compass, and climate temperature control to not function. I had to replace it with a new unit costing $806.25. The warranty was expired. It suddenly did not work one day when I turned the vehicle on in the morning.”

NHTSA complaint #11244574, filed 2019-08, 80,000 miles

“Track lighting on the rear door is not sealed and water gets into the light housing and the rear camera as well as the license plate lights. Some of the lights in the track are out and I have to keep replacing the license plate lights. Water is just sitting on the lights so they burn out. I'm afraid this might start a electrical fire in the rear door or my rear lights will just stop working.”

NHTSA complaint #11123105, filed 2018-08, 72,000 miles

“Rear race track style tail lights on the back tail gate fill with water and, as a consequence, the leds low on the passenger side, where the water pooled, are not working. This occurs during rainfall regardless of stationary or under motion. I do not know how long this has been going on. I noticed it in november 2017.”
