“The cowling on the lower part of the windshield has been warped since I took delivery of the Durango in 12/2013. While driving above 65 MPH or in windy conditions, a buzzing sound can be heard. From a web search, many others report the same issue, and also report that dealerships say that Dodge knows about this issue. This issue will reportedly flood the engine with water in heavy rain, but this has not happened to me.”

NHTSA complaint #11278170, filed 2019-11, 300 miles

“I've notice that when I'm driving on highways or around the city, wipers come on by itself. That happen twice... Sometimes the sunroof don't open, when the sunroof opens don't want to close sometimes. When I'm on the highway can't seem to get enough power to catch up with traffic, seems like the transmission is about to give out. Very laggy....the notification for engine/trans comes off/on at times. Other to sound weird but I believe someone has access remotely to vehicle. All this happens on a daily or every few days I've noticed.”

NHTSA complaint #11064061, filed 2018-01, 88,000 miles

“The window cowl has deteriorated and causing lots of road noise- it has been going on for a while but just now figured out the issue. There are a lot of complaints surrounding this- if this ultimately fails it can cause leakage to the brake master cylinder or other damage from water.”

NHTSA complaint #11355154, filed 2020-09, 104,000 miles

“Rear backup lamp light bar assembly is leaking water. Water visibly observed in light bar and causing LED's to fade. Had it resealed by dealership continued to leak and now light bar has completely failed and no longer turns on, this is a major safety concern as well due to license plate light no longer functioning as well. Vehicle is scheduled to go in for repairs regarding a failed light bar and safety issue.”

NHTSA complaint #11183778, filed 2019-03, 73,000 miles

“July 14, 2019 - while the Dodge Durango is in motion, the dash display suddenly went blank, various sensor lights turned on, transmission gear would not shift, and the wiper blades intermittently turned on. Similarly problem was experienced in may 2019, when the repair shop identified and replaced a faulty bcm (body control module). I took the vehicle to a local Dodge dealership about a month ( june 2019), for the same problem and the dealership identified the wiring harness to be faulty. …”
