“Bought my 05 xlt Escape last may 2015 and all of a sudden it started to shudder stall while idling and just completely die when I was driving on the highway! Got the codes read and it said I had a misfire on cylinder 2, so I put new coils and spark plugs in it but it's still not working! Still doing a misfire and it's running bad when it decides to crank up! Now it's not even drivable.”

NHTSA complaint #10731328, filed 2015-06, 109,000 miles“My 2005 Ford Escape gas pedal sticks horribly. It is constantly sticking, and has almost caused us numerous wrecks. Ford tried to charge me $360 to replace the fuel filter. I did not go through with it. I paid $120 for a new throttle cable and it didn't fix it as well. I'm at the point where it is to dangerous to be driven with my family, and I do not trust the vehicle one bit.”

If I start it again it turns on just fine but everytime I stop at a light or at traffic, the engine stalls. Went to the Ford dealer and they cant tell what is happening because there is no check engine light turned on. They checked it and everything was fine, battery, oils. They say there is a recall for the throttle position sensor but the deadline for this was on january 2015. Now Ford wont repair my vehicle because it has more than 10 years old (it has less than 116,000 miles).”
