“Throttle cable sticks when the 2001-2004 was recalled I questioned Ford they said too bad even though I purchased the vehicle in april of 2004 it is a 2005 and they would not cover me on the recall gas pedal sticks a lot using brakes at same time when in park it won't go until you do gas and brake”

NHTSA complaint #11052056, filed 2017-12, 85,000 miles

“The gas pedal was stuck after mashing on it hard it broke loose when approching a stop sign I stopped and try to go again but gas pedal was stuck why is there not a recall. I also have transmission and rearend problems but they both are costly repairs I am concerned about the gas pedal please fix it before someone gets hurt there really should be a recall on it”

NHTSA complaint #10555014, filed 2013-12, 120,000 miles

“I purchased car in january 2005, first time of this incident was in 2007, november, but it has been an ongoing problem during the winter months more so than summer. I am so nervous about having an accident I just want it fixed. I have it at a Ford dealer right now and it is going to cost me $650.00 to have this repaired. I certainly hope this will fix the problem, but I do not have faith here.”

NHTSA complaint #10553932, filed 2013-11, 20,000 miles

“I was driving on an interstate and I noticed that the car was going faster than it should as I was heading towards an exit ramp. I pulled over on the shoulder amd the car was revving up like 4000 RPM all by itself. I drove the vehicle alternating between neutral and drive as it was revving up too high. I parked in a lot. Turned the car off... It was revving up like a race car... All by itself. Very scary. Could have died. The floor boards were clean. Nothing could have stuck to the accelerator pedal.... No way this could be operator error”

NHTSA complaint #11032011, filed 2017-10, 165,000 miles

“Car sits in the driveway and when it is turned on, especially in the winter, the accelerator sticks to the point that I have to put full force to jam the pedal down to take off. If I am at a light and stopped, the same thing happens. I have the repair shop fix this issue twice but decided to lodge a complaint based upon news reports. I have not had any other issue with the SUV and I love my Ford. I am not sure that his is a safety issue and I have been trying to find out.”
