“At 76,851 miles my transmission failed and according to Ford metal pieces found was found in the fluid I was on my way home when my vehicle just stopped in the middle of on going traffic I've only have it for two years and take very good care of it but was never told that any transmission issues were detected before that the bypass coolant valved code would appear even though I have repair it twice this year .”

NHTSA complaint #11289217, filed 2019-12, 76,851 miles

“Vehicle stalls while driving on city roads. Have had conditions where we are driving at 30 miles/hr and car starts switching off with check engine light and oil light and battery light coming on. Vehicle will not move properly until I switch it off an on again. Has caused 1 accident and 2 almost accidents where car was rear ended due to stalling. There are no codes to say what is wrong and Ford states everything is fine”

NHTSA complaint #11179805, filed 2019-02, 78,700 miles

“Whenever driving my car, it noticably takes longer than it should to shift causing my rpms to run higher than expected. For instance doing 35 I might be running at 2500-3000 rpms for about 15 to 20 seconds before shifting and causing my rpms to go down to around 1500.”

NHTSA complaint #11197370, filed 2019-04, 91,000 miles

“My cluster panel went dead and there was a recall for it but the first owner got it fixed and ford wouldn’t do it for me. I couldn’t afford to get it fixed and so it stayed dead. My car eventually broke down on me while driving because I was unable to read the transmission fault warning (because the cluster panel doesn’t work). I just had to buy a whole new transmission and ford is still refusing to fix their failed recall. Had it been taken care of, I would have seen the warning and not drove my car until it broke down.”

NHTSA complaint #11583394, filed 2024-04, 133,299 miles

“Engine fails to accelerate from stop. (random) while in pittsburgh traffic, vehicle runs fine, stop at stop light or stop sign waiting for traffic to pass. Try to take off and vehicle starts moving like it should and then suddenly loses acceleration, engine is unresponsive to throttle, rpms go down to just above idle with gas pedal pressed to floor, idle when released. This is a safety issue, can cause a major accident if not conscience of traffic around you and keeping in mind that the car may act up when pulling into traffic. …”
