“At 1000k miles the electrical panels on the car lit up like a christmas tree. When it was pulled over and placed into park, it jumped. We called the dealer to be told it was a glitch and would work itself out. The next time, we took pictures and they misdiagnosed it twice. The third time, they saw it and did a bandaid repair and now say they have to dissamble and rebuild the car's electrical system, including dropping fuel tanks and other major components to get there. …”

NHTSA complaint #11361130, filed 2020-09, 900 miles

“I’m reporting a parts‑availability problem with Ford recall 22S36/22S48 on my 2020 Expedition. My VIN shows the recall in FordPass and my dealer confirmed it, but they cannot get the replacement battery junction box. I was advised to contact larger dealers because parts are not being supplied. This is a fire‑risk recall, and the delay prevents the safety repair. Please document the shortage and ensure Ford provides adequate parts.”

NHTSA complaint #11724915, filed 2026-03

“I was driving 70mph when suddenly a red alert on the dashboard said coolant alert 402 degrees the car was not heating up at all before that. I pulled to the side of the road right away. Smoke started coming out trunk ran and in less than 2 minutes the car was on fire.”

NHTSA complaint #11619598, filed 2024-10

“I was sitting at the kitchen table with my children doing some painting projects for Halloween and my car started smoking, my alarms started going off and within a matter of minutes my car was completely engulfed in flames, I grabbed my kids and ran outside as the car was close to our house and we then called 911. By the time the fire department arrived the car was a complete loss, and my house has sustained minor damages.”

NHTSA complaint #11551569, filed 2023-10

“rear back up camera does not have guide lines. Camera works, but does not have the guide lines that move when you back up. I bought the vehicle used. I checked other 2020 expeditions and they have the guide lines on the display.”
