“Just purchased vehicle air bag light flashes and turns on when driving looked into issue. Found recall for airbag that causes this. Recall 11s18b. Contacted Ford they said recall had not been performed and set up appointment to have it done. Ford completed recall. Picked up vehicle drove 1000 feet airbag light came back on. Turned around and informed service department. They told me the recall has nothing to so with the airbag or light and that if I pay 100 they will diagnose vehicle. …”

“The drivers air bag deployed while driving at a slow speed in a bank parking lot. There were no other vehicles around and the truck was not hit. I have driven this vehicle for thirty five thousand miles. The dealer thus far has not found a cause for the air bag deployment. They have contacted Ford and the response back to them is it is my responsibility and I should contact my insurance company.”

NHTSA complaint #10316009, filed 2010-03, 212,000 miles

“When driving past luke air force base the air bag light on the dash illuminates in my 2005 Ford f150. I have been told that this is caused by the radar. I want to know if the air bag system will function normally in the event an accident occurs when the light is on. Other people we know are also having this problem with their 2005 Ford trucks and suvs.”

NHTSA complaint #10165796, filed 2006-08, 73 miles

“I was traveling south coming to a intersection when a vehicle traveling north and decided to turn and hit me! He was travel 50 MPH. The driver received 2 tickets at crash site also 1 ticket 3 minute before crash. I almost drove 1/3 into his car. No air bag went off in my vehicle. My hips have been hurting ever since crash. Allstate forced me to settle them. I believe if airbag went off my hips would be fine! X-rays show them 1 out of aliment and I need to continually see a chiropractor”
