“I was in a accident where I was going a okay speed in traffic where suddenly the car in front of me brakes and my emergency brakes did not activate so I had to slam on mines to avoid impact but the car behind me hit me causing me to impact the car in front and with no airbag deployment from impact in back and front. Causing me later with neck and head pain.”
NHTSA complaint #11716080, filed 2026-02“At approximately 6:20 PM on Friday, July 26, 2024 airbags exploded on a Ford F-150 while it was on the assembly line (Chassis Line 5) at Ford Motor Company's Dearborn Truck Plant (DTP). Two hourly employees, one of them in the driver's seat, were working on the truck at the time and both were sent to an area hospital for treatment. The line was stopped, but only for about 30-40 minutes. By 7 PM it was running again until the conclusion of our scheduled ten-hour day, which occurred at 4:30 AM. …”
