“Transmission malfunction, will not engage when vehicle is stopped. Seems like it is stuck in 5th gear. Odo reads ------, airbag and seat belt light comes on. Speedometer goes to zero. When I turn engine off and back on, it operates normal for a few miles. Was almost t-boned by semi this morning because the transmission would not engage when I pulled into intersection.”

NHTSA complaint #11084318, filed 2018-04, 93,000 miles

“I was driving to work at 6:10 in the morning. We just turned on the highway. We were travelling between 40 and 45 MPH. There was a horse in my lane and I did not see it. We hit the horse in the front of the truck. The airbags did not go off. We were not injured but the airbags should have gone off.”

NHTSA complaint #11253100, filed 2019-09, 150,000 miles

“Less than 24 hours after TSB 19s07 was performed on my truck, I was entering the freeway when check engine light, airbag light both turned on. Speedometer shut off, read 0, same with odometer. Vehicle refused to shift below 3rd gear. I then had to drive through a merge light to enter freeway and start from 3rd gear. I had to drive the 3 miles or so back home like this. Truck had no issues prior to the recall being done.”

NHTSA complaint #11366857, filed 2020-10, 145,000 miles

“On january 13, 2015 I was involved in a head collision with a 18 wheeler. The scenario was a two lane highway (hwy 67, lakeside , ca), there is minimal room for error and upon impact. I remember my brakes depressing completely to the floor board , yet as though there was no air lines. It has been a long recovery, which is why certain things are returning slowly. Yet, I remember that my brakes felt off or un-responsive before impact.”
