“I went to start the vehicle and it would crank b ut not start. I found that a very common problem with this truck is the fuel pump fuse. I located this fuse and found that it was in fact blown, and melted in half. Ford has created a repair for this, because it is such a common problem, but has not issued a recall. This needs to be repaired by Ford for the customers at no charge.”

NHTSA complaint #11206371, filed 2019-05, 97,000 miles

“Throttle body failed on my pickup while driving. Went into limp mode and engine wouldn't rev up. Had to shut off and restart multiple times in order to make it to the shop. Scanned it and had code p2112 throttle body stuck closed. Replaced throttle body and seems to be ok now. Glad I was just putting along when it happened or it could have been a disaster.”

NHTSA complaint #10874495, filed 2016-06, 87,000 miles

“The electronic throttle body failed at 40,000 miles while driving the car in traffic. I had no control over the vehicle speed, as the gas pedal did not respond, and the car slowed to about 5 MPH. I managed to get out of traffic without a collision. I checked online and found this is a very common complaint for Ford 3.5l engines. My truck has the 3.5l eco-boost engine.”

NHTSA complaint #10919704, filed 2016-10, 40,000 miles

“Vehicle engine light on. Code error of p2112. Noble Ford service replaced the throttle body and motor assembly. This part is not warranty I found out. It should be as I find it could fault and leave you in a limp mode. Not good. Noble Ford charge $ 338.41 to replace the throttle body and motor assembly. Ouch.”

NHTSA complaint #10944137, filed 2017-01, 44,490 miles
