“My 2015 f150 crew cab loses ability to accelerate. You will be going down road or pulling out and without any warning the check engine lights light up and the gas peddle will do nothing. It's very dangerous while in traffic. The truck only has 45,000 mi on it, done some research and it sounds like I'm not the only one having this problem.”
NHTSA complaint #11246289, filed 2019-08, 44,500 miles“I have a 2015 Ford f150 2.7 ecoboost with 66,000 miles on it, and my fuel pump has gone bad in it. I have heard from many fellow owners that the same style truck has also had fuel pump failures, most with less miles on them than mine. There is a recall on most of the other Ford vehicles for their fuel pumps being at fall.”
NHTSA complaint #11195986, filed 2019-04, 66,000 miles“The fuel pump on the 2015. F150 2.7 l ecoboost is faulty. Ford has recalled all other vehicles with this engine except the f150 model. Why? 2 fuel pumps have gone bad on my f150. After the 3 fuel pump was put in Ford also had to replace the PCM so the fuel pump would work. My vehicle was being driven in traffic when the pump failed causing complete loss of power.”
NHTSA complaint #11152526, filed 2018-11, 61,000 miles“The following has happened multiple times. I am driving in top gear (5th or 6th) at approximately 55 MPH. I attempt to pass someone and suddenly lose acceleration as I press the accelerator pedal. The transmission seems to go limp. After a few seconds my acceleration returns.”
NHTSA complaint #11407280, filed 2021-04, 94,000 miles“I just returned from my Ford dealership today after my F-150 stopped cold and went into limp mode while I accelerated up a hill on hwy 78 in red lodge, mt. The dash lit up with a hill descent control and several other error messages. This would have been catastrophic if I had been accelerating while passing. The forums are full of similar problems and dealerships know they need to replace the throttle body. This should definitely be a safety recall.”
