“Started my truck using remote start. Roughly 45-55 secs later, I get in my truck and the rear passenger area is filled with smoke. I shut off vehicle. I smelled burned electrical wires. I wasn't able to detect anything out of the norm. Roughly 5-7 mins later, my back glass shattered. Truck was stationary.”

NHTSA complaint #11205993, filed 2019-05, 92,889 miles

“The adaptive cruise control slams on the brakes after just passing the end of a semi or large truck. It happens intermittently but has continued over the last 14 months. We have taken the vehicle to the dealer 4 times and they were unable to fix the problem. We traded the vehicle in this last week it still has the same problem .”

NHTSA complaint #10991932, filed 2017-05, 31,000 miles

“I started the truck with the remote start to let it warm up. After around 3 to 5 minutes we went to get in and noticed smoke and a burning smell coming from the back seat. I turned the truck off and inspected the area the smoke was coming from and noticed the insulation was burned from the wire and my back window had cracks over the entire surface. I believe the rear defrost shorted out”

NHTSA complaint #11143481, filed 2018-10, 71,500 miles

“My rear camera work sometimes. When backing up it shows a very distorted image, unable to visualize what is there while backing up. The rear sensors are working. A Ford dealership told me that it needed to be replaced for approximately $6,000.00”

NHTSA complaint #11363040, filed 2020-10, 52,000 miles

“My 2015 lariat has heated/cooled leather front seats. When using the seat cooling function I noticed the seat bottom would cool but the seat back seemed to get warm. At first I thought it was my imagination. Attempted to use it on friday and about 30 minutes later my back was hot. I pulled over, felt the seat back with my palm, then my cheek and it was hot to the touch.”
