“Odometer Fraud. The contact purchased a 2022 Ford F-150. The contact stated that the vehicle was purchased from the local dealer. Upon purchase, the dealer's Odometer Disclosure Form indicated that the odometer mileage reading was 82,823. However, after obtaining a Carfax Report, the contact discovered that the last odometer mileage reading was 126,170.”
NHTSA complaint #11711234, filed 2026-01, 126,170 miles“The daytime running light on the passenger side of the vehicle has failed very prematurely - before even reaching 40000 miles. This is an issue as it puts me at risk if other drivers cannot see my lights. The problem is permanent and the entire headlight must be replaced. No warnings were present, I only happened to notice when approaching my truck one day.”
NHTSA complaint #11689318, filed 2025-09“I was driving around 35-40mph, slowing down, heading to a right hand turn lane. No vehicles in front of me. As I crossed over my lane into the turn lane my e-brake automatically came on and my pre collision braking light came on. No warning, nothing caused by me, and I have no clue how it happened. I had to physically pull the e-brake lever to release the brakes on a major road.”
NHTSA complaint #11634596, filed 2025-01“The climate control system will malfunction and make the cab of the truck unbearably hot, even to the point of physical discomfort at the feet of the driver. The air is so hot blowing on the drivers feet that I have to remove my feet from the pedals to cool. This is a major distraction to the driver. The dealer says this is normal. No warnings or alarm messages.”
NHTSA complaint #11570265, filed 2024-02“Three times now a VERY loud static noise comes through the speakers when I start the truck. It sounds like a blown amplifier. It only lasts for a few seconds, but it is loud enough that my ears are still ringing. It would cause a wreck if it happens when driving. I am taking into Ford dealer on Monday, but they say they have never heard of the issue.”
