“The passenger door lock/latch actuator is failing. The passenger door will not open from the outside at all. The door has to be opened from the inside. The power lock button and key fob do not unlock the passenger door. I can hear the lock/actuator trying to operate, but the door does not unlock or release from the outside handle. This issue started shortly after we had a historic/unusual cold freeze in Florida. The vehicle is kept outside, so it was exposed to the freezing temperatures. …”
NHTSA complaint #11737751, filed 2026-05“While driving down interstate Friday, July 28, at approximately 6:15PM in North Augusta, SC, I heard a loud noise and could not identify what had happened. It was raining so I did not notice that the fixed portion of the panoramic sunroof over the back seat was shattered. I did not think to even look back there closely. The next morning I got into vehicle to find glass in back seat and water all over floor and seat in back. The whole panel had shattered.”
NHTSA complaint #11535508, filed 2023-07“(2022 Ford F150 Supercrew XLT) The sunroof wind deflector screen that pops up when you open the sunroof broke at 75mph and could have caused an accident or killed a motorcyclist. The vehicle only has 38000 miles on it. I observed that the wind screen was attached to the roof by 4 small screws. The product is made of plastic and cannot sustain highway driving. I observed another complain on the internet at 70mph same thing. Mullinex Ford of Apopka Fl is where the vehicle was purchased. I believe the screen should be made of metal to prevent it from breaking. …”
NHTSA complaint #11643082, filed 2025-02“The tailgate opens without warning and no warning is given when it opens. The tailgate opens without warning while driving, parked and not running. This has opened on me several time causing numerous safety issues to include contents of my bed falling out on the roadway while driving. The tailgate has opened as my young daughter was walking by and it nearly striking her in the head. As I left the store today when I returned to my vehicle the tailgate was down and had opened while I was not in or near the vehicle. …”
NHTSA complaint #11468593, filed 2022-06“The passenger door does not open from the outside. It only opens from the inside. It is unclear what caused this, as there has been no accident or slamming of the door. There is already a technical safety bulletin for this issue, but this needs to be a recall as it poses a significant safety risk and does not appear to be caused by negligence or collision.”
