“The front collision sensor on the 2004-2005 Ford f150's are not working. I was at a dealership in vermilion ohio and the dealership stated that they have had several trucks come in where the front collision sensors have gone bad, probably from water getting into the sensors and freezing which in turn has cracked the sensor. Now my airbag switch stays on all the time.”

“I own a 2004 Ford lgt convtnl F-150 truck and I have a constantly illuminated air bag warning lamp on my vehicle since october of 2010. I understand there is an expanded recall on over a million vehicles that experienced this problem however my vehicle is currently not included in the recall. What options do I have with the manufacturer so that they correct the deficiency if it is diagnosed with this defect? Thanks”

NHTSA complaint #10398590, filed 2011-05, 80,000 miles

“This a.m. As I entered my driveway, a neighbor stopped me to talk. I stopped and rolled down my window. He went on and on. Suddenly, my truck accelerated at full throttle toward my garage 70 feet away. My foot was on the brake to no avail. I turned slightly to the right and hit the corner of the garage. The air bags deployed. My glasses went flying. I was not hurt. A tree had soften the impact. I was severely shaken. My blood pressure was elevated. Ford motor company is not helpful. My insurance company, geico, is handling the issue.”
