“Advancetrac came on hill start assist not available came on motor didn't die but the gas wouldn't work so I had to pull over and turn vehicle off and restart it and then it didn't want to start after it restarted it goes away and you can continue to drive idk what it could be but I find it very dangerous it's happened 4 times in 2 days”

NHTSA complaint #11365629, filed 2020-10, 160,000 miles

“As I was driving down a major interstate i94 while changing lanes my 2016 f150 3.5 ecoboost entered limp mode in front of a semi I just recently passed. The semi had to slam on his brakes and I had to swerve to the side of the road to avoid a collision. The service advancetrac and wrench/service light was lit up on the dash. The vehicle would not move. The truck ran but when the gas pedal was pressed the engine sputtered and wouldnt move.”

NHTSA complaint #11165975, filed 2019-01, 15 miles

“I've had the truck unresponsive to acceleration twice with advancetrac warnings and hill descent warnings. Each time I was able to get the going again by stopping the truck, putting in park, turning off the ignition, and then restarting. I'm afraid to drive a two year old truck with less than 20,000 miles. The truck is at the dealer for a week now and they are unable to replicate the issue. Both times the vehicle was moving, once on a street and once in a parking lot, and both times the vehicle was turning.”

NHTSA complaint #11129205, filed 2018-09, 19,500 miles

“While driving in the rain I had stopped at an intersection. I turned a corner and accelerated to merge into traffic. The rear wheels spun excessively, causing the vehicle to 'fish-tail' and creating a dangerous situation me and adjacent vehicles. The traction control system was on but did not engage, no indicator lights illuminated on the dash to show it engaged or had an error. The same day I took the vehicle to jim tidwell Ford, and rode with the shop foreman on a demo ride to mirror the situation. The shop foreman agreed the traction control should have engaged. …”

NHTSA complaint #11278534, filed 2019-11, 40,398 miles

“I was driving down the highway and my truck completely shut off I managed to pull to the side of the road and got it started again. It did it again down the road. I made it to work hoping that it was just a glitch. It did it again on my way home nearly causing a collision, all the warning lights came on and the truck stated up again. It did it several times and is a big safety concern for me because I have my family in my vehicle most of the time. I did further research and several other people has had the same issue. My question is why Ford has not issue a recall for this problem. …”
