“Stationary and in motion my awd malfunction light will come on, it does this multiple times a day, I just got this Ford the other day, nobody knows what the issue is, but I've seen thousands of other people have this issue. That almost caused me an accident today in the snow. Not very happy about it, and I don't want it to happen again. It's been doing this since I got it. I'm lucky it's not totaled.”
NHTSA complaint #11390922, filed 2021-01, 257,000 miles“Was stopped in traffic, then when I slowly took my foot off the brake to move, the engine revved up, then surged forward very quickly, I stepped on the brake again, but it wasn't enough to stop the car. The car lunged forward, causing her to press hard on the brakes. The car did stop, but it almost hit the car in the next parking space. This is the second time this car has displayed this problem. Our daughter was driving it a month or so ago, and it did the same thing.”
