“I have a 2019 Ford Fusion. The bolt holding the steering wheel to the steering shaft has come loose. in May 2018 there was a recall for this same loose steering wheel issue on 2014-2018 versions of the Fusion. There is no loose steering wheel recall for the 2019 Fusion. Ford's remedy for the loose steering wheel was replacing the bolt holding the steering wheel to the steering shaft with a longer bolt on the 2014-2018 Fusions. I would expect the longer bolt was used in production in my 2019 Fusion steering, and that's why it is not recalled. …”

“The contact's spouse rented a 2019 Ford fusion. While driving approximately 35-40 MPH, the steering seized without warning. The driver was unable to maneuver the vehicle. The contact stated that the front driver's side suspension fractured and caused the front driver's side wheel to make contact with the inner wheel well and seize in place. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic to be diagnosed. The contact was informed that the front suspension needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The dealer and manufacturer were not notified of the failure. …”
