“We have an intermittent problem with the car starting. We found an online thread on the subject with workaround tricks. Sometimes putting the car in neutral and starting it from there works, but not consistently. What works most often is turn key one notch, wait 3 seconds, turn again and wait until lights go away, then again and then it starts. What is this issue? Is there a recall that can fix this issue?”

NHTSA complaint #11339714, filed 2020-07, 70,000 miles

“Recently my 2014 bonda Accord sport has been acting up the last week of april 2018 going out for lunch I was going to turn on car and I would not start sh!t starter problem I retried eventually car started up again but now with electronic steering ,ABS, TPMS, and stability control lights lit up at same time same day drove car to dealer have it checked out but 2 miles away from getting there the lights turned off just my luck so headead back home. …”

NHTSA complaint #11098189, filed 2018-05, 46,740 miles

“The eps, brake, and ABS lights came on when I started the car and would not go off. We took the car to our mechanic who after doing diagnostics told us we need to take our car to a Honda dealer and not drive any more than we had to for safety reasons. The dealer determined it was the vsa modulator and cost $1788.78 to repair. Really disgusted with Honda as I read online where there have been several other Honda owners with the same problem yet there is still no recall on this problem!”

NHTSA complaint #11355078, filed 2020-09, 68,000 miles

“The yaw sensor went out on the stability control system, out taking everything with it'ABS, stability control, forward collision, lain watch, and the power staring monitor. You could feel the ABS motor working for no reason even without braking. Honda replaced the ABS control module to fix the problem. My concern is as expensive as it was, I'm worried others will not be able to afford the fix and we will have other cars out there without the basic safety systems in place.”

NHTSA complaint #11221727, filed 2019-06, 89,801 miles

“The ignition switch took forever to start engine. I had to have the starter changed and paid vandergriff Honda dealer $600+. I believe it has something to do with the battery sensor that affects also the alternator.”
