“I have 4 warning lights on the dash brake, traction, steering and tire pressure warning lights. I was told that it has to due with a faulty ABS control module. The part has been sold out for some time. When I talked to the gentleman at the shop he told me that a lot people have been having a problem with this. The light are always on the car drives fine but I'm worried because it controls all of the safety associated with the car.”
NHTSA complaint #11403922, filed 2021-03, 110,000 miles“While drive 2014 Honda Accord fcw light came on when the pushed down on the brake pedal it felt like a sponge and went to the floor with that my front end went under a SUV this should never have happened the car did not stop and it cost 8000 to fix this is not right I notified Honda and as usual said the will keep it on file but not I am even afraid to drive it thank you.”
NHTSA complaint #10851786, filed 2016-03, 1,300 miles“The eps, brake, and ABS lights came on when I started the car and would not go off. We took the car to our mechanic who after doing diagnostics told us we need to take our car to a Honda dealer and not drive any more than we had to for safety reasons. The dealer determined it was the vsa modulator and cost $1788.78 to repair. Really disgusted with Honda as I read online where there have been several other Honda owners with the same problem yet there is still no recall on this problem!”
NHTSA complaint #11355078, filed 2020-09, 68,000 miles“The yaw sensor went out on the stability control system, out taking everything with it'ABS, stability control, forward collision, lain watch, and the power staring monitor. You could feel the ABS motor working for no reason even without braking. Honda replaced the ABS control module to fix the problem. My concern is as expensive as it was, I'm worried others will not be able to afford the fix and we will have other cars out there without the basic safety systems in place.”
NHTSA complaint #11221727, filed 2019-06, 89,801 miles“As I made a right turn to the parking spot with my right foot on the pedal I slowed down to 2-3 MPH with foot still on the brake. At about 1-2 feet from the concrete retaining wall limiting the parking spot I pressed on the brake for the final stop. Car accelerated wildly and hit the concrete retaining wall ahead. My foot had never left the brake. Air bags did not inflate. The vehicle was in motion 2-3 MPH, on a parking lot. Acceleration happened when I was breaking.”
