“The clearcoat paint is beginning to peal on the hood, roof and trunk. Color of vehicle is black. It has been well maintained and garaged. I've noticed many other Honda vehicles with the same condition. In addition, the ABS brake warning light has gone on and we've been told by Honda that the car needs the ABS module replaced at a cost of $1,200. We have not made this repair due to the cost and age of the vehicle.”

NHTSA complaint #10640317, filed 2014-09, 75,500 miles

“While driving my car at 60 MPH on cruise control, it suddenly started increasing speed. Then I noticed that the accelerator pedal was pressed to the floor of my car. Then I began to use the brakes to try and control the speed, but they did not function well at all. Finally after struggling in on this rural road, I was able to slow it down, I called 911, then I just used the emergency brake to stop it because I didn't know what else to do. Although this was a terrifying experience, it could have been tragic if had not been in a rural area with very little traffic. …”

NHTSA complaint #11350612, filed 2020-08, 150,000 miles

“Rear brake pad replacement at 14,000 miles. Service indicates 2 milimeters left on rear pads. Despite service stating 60% of braking is done by front brakes the rear need replacing. Additionally, driving habits also contributed to this. I own other Honda's and vehicles where my habits are the same and do not have this problem. Pads were replaced on rear.”

NHTSA complaint #10114056, filed 2005-03, 14,500 miles

“What does one have to do when there are no brakes on my Honda but they will not fix it and it is the samething they have a recall on ?????? I have almost wrecked 4 times ?????? I disappointed that”

NHTSA complaint #10322198, filed 2010-03, 20 miles

“On 2/17/04, I was turning left to get out of a parking lot. When I applied the brakes to stop, I heard a loud popping noise and then it sounded like something fell off of the car. The dealership said no problem was found, that they were unable to duplicate. 263 miles on it. …”
