“10/19/2023 NHTSA recall 23V-704, Manufacturer recall YFW 10/28/2023--I rented a 2022 Honda Civic from National at airport. Leaving the airport initially I didn't notice an issue. But after traveling several miles at highway speeds, on changing lanes or making minor adjustments in direction, I noticed the steering wheel felt like it would stick, then release allowing the car to change direction, stick, then release allowing the car to change direction. This happened with each adjustment of the steering wheel. This did not occur driving at slower speeds. …”
NHTSA complaint #11562859, filed 2023-12“have a 22 civic touring sedan. Two weeks ago Two days in a row I have got a warning that there is a problem with the supplemental restraint saying it’s with the airbag or seatbelt and to shut the vehicle off and to restart and to contact a dealer if it persists. I shut the vehicle off and turn it back on and the error clears. The same thing happened last night after I got home from work and unbuckled my seat belt on 9/29/21. Others on a Honda Civic Form online for this year car have reported the same problem and there doesn’t seem to be a fix yet”
NHTSA complaint #11435010, filed 2021-09“The contact owns a 2022 Honda Civic. The contact stated that while driving at 56 MPH, the steering wheel independently shifted to the left as the contact lost control of the vehicle. Due to the failure, the contact swerved back and forth in an attempt to regain control of the vehicle; as a result, the contact hit several highway median divider poles. The air bags did not deploy during the failure. The contact sustained minor back and shoulder pain but did not seek medical attention. A police report was filed. …”
NHTSA complaint #11580910, filed 2024-04, 11,000 miles“The contact's son owns a 2022 Honda Civic. The contact stated that while her son was driving at a moderate speed through city traffic, the vehicle drove over a pothole and the front and rear passenger’s side air bags deployed. The contact's son had not suffered any injuries; however, the front passenger’s side seat belt was damaged. Despite the air bag deployment, the vehicle was still drivable. The vehicle was taken to a dealer and the contact was repeatedly informed by various employees that they could not guarantee that any repair performed to the air bags would fix the vehicle. …”
NHTSA complaint #11723514, filed 2026-03, 82,000 miles“When driving car, the car would reduce speed on curves, sensing cars o objets on the side as obstacles. November 2023 I rear ended a car, and the air bags fail to deploy, automatic emergency braking fail to engaged. No warning .”
