“We had a car accident on christmas due to ice on the road and ended up hitting 2 telephone poles! None of the airbags deployed at all! We hit the poles head on! I have had the airbags fixed from the recall and never been in another accident to have to have airbags fixed so there was no reason them to noy deploy!”
NHTSA complaint #11394601, filed 2021-02, 228 miles“Takata recall I was driving at about 15 to 20 miles an hour in a empty parking lot an went over a parking curb. The drivers side airbag opened up and hit my chest causing minor powder burns to my right arm and a small cut. The car had no damage and came to imediate stop before another curb in the lot.”
NHTSA complaint #11046661, filed 2017-11, 79,500 miles“Takata recall prior to recall, car was totaled due to head on collision ~ 02/16/2012 in intersection where larger approaching vehicle turned left at unknown speed into my car. Airbag 'deployed' such that I sustained two broken ribs ( rt 7,8) and extensive bruising with pieces of parts debris stuck in my clothing. As the car was junked I didn't have the correct VIN when the recall notice was published; my local dealer recently provided it.”

So can not very well do the air bag recall. And by the way, the air bags worked perfectly. I walked away and bought another one.”
NHTSA complaint #11122651, filed 2018-08, 1,000 miles“**airbags deployed after driving over pothole** I drive a 2008 Honda Civic 2dr with 160k miles. On march 15, 2018 I was traveling northbound I-294 when my vehicle collided with a pothole at approx. 65 MPH and the driver curtain and driver seat airbag deployed. The impact wasn't hard enough to damage my wheel or body of the car. The pothole should not of interrupted the srs system. This is a result of a defect in Honda's air bag/restraint system.”
