“While attempting a hard stop during a sudden traffic light change to yellow, the brake pedal went to the floor and the car experienced an extended stopping distance. The car finally came to a stop about 10 feet beyond the stop line.”
NHTSA complaint #10888514, filed 2016-07, 281,197 miles“My problem is that when you prepare to come to a stop, press the clutch and brake, the car will die. No warning at all. The RPM's will just dive to 0 and it dies. When it first began, I kept a detail log of weather, length of trip, everything I could think of and each time it died, it blew another idea out of the water. Nothing seemed to coordinate from time to time. I have had it in about 4 times total into two different Honda dealers and niether of them have been able to duplicate the stall. Therefore, they can't find nor fix the problem.”
NHTSA complaint #761941, filed 2002-05“- the contact stated that on 12/29/06 while driving on a clear day at 70 MPH she hit the back of another vehicle. The contact stated that vehicle in front of her applied the brakes and she did the same thing. The contact stated that the ABS brakes didn't properly work and she hit the back of the other vehicle. The contact stated that when she applied the brakes they failed ,and the pedal went to the floor without resistance. The contact smell edsmoke and rubber. …”
