Example complaints

Selected from NHTSA records; personal details are removed. They are consumer reports, not findings.

“Upon driving the vehicle 30 - 40 miles I get leg cramps and my toes get numb. I encountered this when I drove the vehicle home from the dealer. I did not encounter the problem on the test drive as it was relatively short. I tried several seat positions to re-leave the pain to no avail(note this is a leather power seat with several adjustment positions). I researched the web for this problem and found it to be pervasive. I hate the vehicle and want to return it. It is causing sever leg and back problems. Honda should be fixing this problem. …”

NHTSA complaint #10837596, filed 2016-02, 50 miles

“Seats have severe vibration at idle. Most pronounced after warming up, or, highway drive. (that's why test drives don't show it!). Also, door armrests vibrate. Most intolerable; makes one nauseated. Also, gas mixed in with oil! Gas fume smells noted in cabin while driving.”

NHTSA complaint #11279401, filed 2019-11, 25,800 miles

“2016 Honda crv vehicle shakes/vibrates when idle. Vibration is felt in steering wheel, seats, floor board on both passenger and driver side. Improvement when you move the vehicle to drive, but annoying.”

NHTSA complaint #11245064, filed 2019-08, 8,000 miles

“While idle at traffic light, front two seats shake quite a bit to make us nervous. But when turn headlight on, that shake reduced by 80%. But one headlight turned off/daytime, its shakes again after once break applied”

NHTSA complaint #11073573, filed 2018-02, 100 miles

“After turning on the heated driver's seat switch, I began to smell burnt plastic. Didn't expect that turning on the heated seat might start a fire. This occurred while driving.”

NHTSA complaint #11309196, filed 2020-02, 48,000 miles
