Example complaints

Selected from NHTSA records; personal details are removed. They are consumer reports, not findings.

“I have four issues. First, my power steering assembly needs to be replaced. It is leaking and will cause more problems. I see on many sites where this issue is very prevalent in 2007 CR-V's. Second, the interior lighting does not work correctly. Only the back inside lights come on when the doors open; the front drivers inside light only comes on when pushed; the front passengers inside light does not work at all. Third, the back passenger side door will not lock. I am not able to lock it manually or remotely. It locks and pops right back open. …”

NHTSA complaint #10893055, filed 2016-08, 190,000 miles

“I have complaints about the safety requirements of the head restraints on newer vehicles. I understand the physics behind the safety feature of having the head restraints tilted close to the drivers head. However, if you drive with your head already close to a head restraint that is not tilted (as found in the older vehicles 2004 and older), you will still get the same safety and the head restraint is much more comfortable and it doesn't cause pain. …”

NHTSA complaint #10476837, filed 2012-09

“The contact owns a 2007 Honda CR-V. The top of the head rest protrudes forward into the contacts head, leaving her neck exposed. The dealer stated that the seat was designed in that fashion. The manufacturer took down her information and created a file. The current mileage was 9,300 and failure mileage was 300. Updated 01/02/08. The consumer stated the headrest can not be adjusted adequately for passenger to rest. Updated 12/12/07”

NHTSA complaint #10205334, filed 2007-10, 300 miles

“I bought a Honda crv 2007. The second row of seats has a small division that can lean forward. If a child puts his arm between one of the other two seats and the small section and another person returns it to it's vertical position the child's arm can be injured. That can happen if a toddler is seating on his carseat in one of the side seats.”
