Example complaints

Selected from NHTSA records; personal details are removed. They are consumer reports, not findings.

“I have a 2001 Honda crv. The brackets that hold the front seats to the floor are getting very rusty. I questioned the Honda dealer, and they said it was nothing to worry about. I'm concerned if in an accident, the seat is weakened by the rust and the seat will break off. What can be done about this situation? Thanks.”

“While traveling at 50 MPH and slowing down a 18 wheeler rear ended consumer's vehicle, causing seat to fall backwards, resulting in poor visibility. Please provide further informtion.”
