“While driving on highway going 65 MPH my car 22 Hyundai Tucson SEL dashboard lights turned red and shut off on the highway with no warning, was not able to put in park for 10 minutes. My safety was put at risk, the vehicle stopped mid drive on the highway with other vehicles. Dealership has not fixed or looked at the issue.”

NHTSA complaint #11676949, filed 2025-07

“The fuel door doesn't work. My safety is at risk because I cannot put gas in my car. If i can't put gas in my car then it will stop working. If it starts working, the car becomes useless. There were no warning lights or anything. This is a common problem and should have a lifetime warranty.”

“My panoramic sunroof shattered in the middle of expressway and nobody has been able to help two pieces of my sunroof of shattered and haven’t had this car for more than 6months and dealership won’t help my insurance won’t cover it it’s impossible and expensive to repair. How is it possible to have two accidents with just sunroof”

NHTSA complaint #11562484, filed 2023-12

“During the early morning of December 23, 2024, at 2am, the vehicle caught fire in the carport of my house. Upon waking up to the noise, I proceeded to evacuate my family from the house due to the amount of smoke inside. The fire damaged approximately one-third of the house. Prior to this incident, the vehicle showed no defects, and all its services were performed by the same Hyundai dealership workshop where I bought the vehicle.”

NHTSA complaint #11698988, filed 2025-11

“The sunroof exploded outward, after being driven earlier in the day then parked in our garage. We went to pull it out of the garage again and didn’t even leave our driveway and the sunroof exploded. Researching the issue seems to have uncovered an existing problem with Hyundais that the manufacturer has not taken responsibility for yet. Seems like the government should get involved.”
