“Suv's heater/AC malfunctioned so that there is no heat. There is AC, but no defrost is available. The part broke and the heater has not been functioning since. I am still trying to fix the problem. I bought an auxiliary heater to defrost the driver's side windshield.”

NHTSA complaint #10252812, filed 2008-12, 95,000 miles

“About a year ago both of my front power windows quit working on my 2000 Jeep Cherokee sport within weeks of each other. I have talked about this with several other people who own cherokees and they too have had the same problem. My concern is that if I were were in an accident that forced my car to be submerged in a body of water I would have to wait until the entire cabin filled with water before I could attempt any escape. My mother who owns a nissan xterra also had the same problem but last month nissan issued a recall and all 4 of her windows were replaced.”

NHTSA complaint #10062389, filed 2004-03, 80,000 miles

“There were no events leading up to the failure. All of a sudden the A/C stopped blowing cold air. Turns out the air is blowing cold air up to the blend door. The problem is the blend door.”

NHTSA complaint #10232426, filed 2008-06, 74,000 miles

“Both front door windows do not operate up and down due to the cheap plastic peice that hold the window on the track, poor quality .nothing was done by danbury dodge in conn.”

NHTSA complaint #10127722, filed 2005-07, 75,000 miles

“The Jeep window regulator is a known issue and mine has broke twice in one week. I have a 2000 Jeep Cherokee and it is in the shop to have the third window regulator installed. This is a constant issue with jeeps and should have a recall issued and fix the problem. Have been to several question and answer sites on the internet and Jeep will not acknowledge there is a problem.”
