“I was approaching a 4 way stop with my children in the vehicle, going approx. 10mph. I pressed on the brakes but was unable to stop, making me go through the intersection with vehicles turning into my lane. The brake pedal was rock solid and locked up, and was unable to be pressed. During that time the service elctronic braking light populated on my dashboard.”
NHTSA complaint #11298647, filed 2020-01, 64,217 miles“Service shifter shows on display, all the lights on shifter light up. I looked on internet and many reporting the same issue on many years. Once vehicle is turned off and turned back on the warning goes out, but comes back on in a week or a month. I have made an appointment with dealership to get it serviced. Appears this is a common problem with the make and model.”
NHTSA complaint #11325613, filed 2020-05, 42,000 miles“Had brakes and rotors replaced less than 6 months ago and now I'm being told that I need new front brakes and rotors again. There is chugging with my transmission, and a lot of vibration. I am unable to upload anything without having a mechanic take everything apart to expose it, and I can't afford that at this time.”
NHTSA complaint #11318054, filed 2020-03, 125,000 miles“My 2015 Jeep Cherokee will go into neutral whilst driving and then traction control light comes on, check engine light, service shifter, then will not drive says to shift to park then put into gear. I do the following and still won't try. Have tried shutting it off turning it back on and nothing works.”
NHTSA complaint #11350171, filed 2020-08, 43,000 miles“When I drive my car cluster showed me service shifter and all lights are turn on in transmition prnd. I went service center they didn't know why that signal comes on. I'm very concern abiut that because that cause sudden unintended acceleration or stop engine during driving. It happened few more times before.”
