“The Jeep is only 2 years old and the seams for the driver's side door are not sealed all the way according to a Jeep dealer service diagnostic. This is causing water to leak on to my floor and under the carpet, soaking it with a strong potential for mold/mildew. This has to be a defect because there is no way wear and tear is the cause. I have owned the car for one year.”

NHTSA complaint #11074211, filed 2018-02, 57,000 miles

“I was driving down the freeway when another driver alerted me there was a small fire coming from under my car. I pulled over into an empty lot and when I looked under the car I saw flames from under the vehicle. I stepped back and within minutes the entire front engine was consumed with flames.”

NHTSA complaint #11269795, filed 2019-10, 99,600 miles

“The power liftgate frequently does not close, and sometimes it will not open. When it fails, the tailgate can come open while we are driving. We have taken it to the dealer several times. They told us to pull the fuse that operates the liftgate and that will reset it. The Jeep was under warranty when we started having this problem. It has happened many times and now the car has 60000 miles.”

NHTSA complaint #11132860, filed 2018-10, 15,000 miles

“Car has all sorts of transmission problems from shifting clunking slamming into gears car won't recognize that it's in park and won't turn off liftgate opens and closes by itself recently opened and smashed my garage door in the liftgate radio won't work GPS says I'm in wyoming”

NHTSA complaint #10979952, filed 2017-04, 17,000 miles

“The rear power lift gate will no latch to the locked position and it will not lift. 2016 I had the FCA recall r67 repaired. June 1, 2017 I experienced my first issue with the power lift gate and the dealership cleaned g907 ground strap. August 23, 2017 I'm again experiencing the same issue. I believe this is a serious safety issue because the rear lift gate could be opened at anytime during vehicle movement and during a traffic collision.”
