“While driving home from work on the interstate yesterday at about 60mph, my Jeep suddenly loss power and started shaking. It wouldn't accelerate at all. I had to quickly put my flashers on as to not cause an accident while I tried to pull into the emergency shoulder. I turned the car off for a few minutes then restarted it to drive home.”

“' takata recall' while driving my 2016 Jeep Patriot in motion on a city street , my engine shut off and I got several lights on my dash . After putting in park the vehicle restarted , but I have a 4 year old son and I dont feel safe driving on the freeway and not knowing if my vehicle is going to stop suddenly in traffic .”

NHTSA complaint #11255150, filed 2019-09, 53,000 miles

“While driving the car runs rough. I've scanned the car and no codes come up. I was driving and the etc light flashed and it felt like the time went out. I was afraid that my car went out of time. While driving and shifting the transmission sometimes slips out of gear prematurely. I was driving straight when all of these problems happened.”

NHTSA complaint #11129565, filed 2018-09, 44,465 miles

“The Jeep Patriot 2016 latitude 4wd has been having issues jerking and today had a couple moments where all power and steering was gone and the accelerator pedal wouldn't pick the car back up to speed. I was driving at about 55mph on a highway and all power went out and I lost steering. It was very scary and dangerous. Please Jeep fox this problem and own up to the manufacturer defect your vehicle is reported over and over to have!”

NHTSA complaint #11400226, filed 2021-03, 84,000 miles

“As I was driving at about 45 miles per hour, on a two lane road, my vehicle lost all power. It wouldn't hardly pull itself. It almost stalled out completely. I had to shut it off and it reset for a short time. Fortunately I had a place to pull out of the way. I'm having trouble giving my vehicle throttle now. I believe the throttle body is the part that is the issue. I've read that is a problem with other Jeep patriots.”
