“I was driving toward a red light, and slowing down at 35 MPH, I and had my father in the vehicle when the radio shut off, there was a slight jerk in the vehicle, all the lights on the dash came on, and then everything continued like normal. I had 1/8 of a tank of gas, and it was 87 degrees out. This was the third time that my vehicle stalled. The last time I was reversing out of a space, and damage was caused.”

NHTSA complaint #10190241, filed 2007-05, 8,850 miles

“While driving at roughly 70 MPH on highway throttle felt a little weird then the rpms dropped to zero as the electronic throttle control light on the dash came on. Immediately headed for the shoulder as I lost power steering and power braking although the electronic steering/braking system was alerted during my swerve towards the shoulder. The vehicle was very unresponsive. Upon reaching the shoulder the vehicle stalled. Turned off the vehicle, and then restarted it and cautiously returned home. …”

NHTSA complaint #10193115, filed 2007-06, 800 miles

“Contents are letter forward to terra flex. Original sent to vehicle owner. I understand your frustration with us. Please look closely at your picture. The tag states clearly the grease zert is to face down. When the heim is installed in this position the arm yoke will not line up with the axle mount off center by 5 inches . This arm uses an offset design heim. I personally spoke with tech support at tera flex and their recommendation was to proceed with installing the arm with the grease zert facing down and the tag facing down. Tech stated the arm must have been mislabeled. …”

NHTSA complaint #10250424, filed 2008-12, 16,200 miles

“2007 Jeep wrangler unlimited randomly stalls. Dash lights light up and engine stalls with complete loss of power steering and braking--this has occurred at 60 MPH and as low as 10 MPH. Has been taken to dealership and they cannot replicate the issue. It continues to be a problem.”

NHTSA complaint #10356600, filed 2010-09, 33,000 miles

“I was driving at a speed of 70 MPH on the interstate when the car lost all electrical power. The loss of power lasted only a few seconds and then powered back up. The engine also stopped during this time. It was extremely alarming and could have resulted in a serious accident. I took the car to the dealer and they said that they have had other owners with this problem. I am unsure what they did to correct the issue.”
