“At 9700 miles both my wife and I experienced the Wrangler front end wobble. Speed was approx 60 - 65 MPH on a paved bypass. Both times it was when we were transitioning from a bridge to the pavement. This happened at different times and different locations on the bypass. This wobble is a frightening experience, and your not sure what to do to stop it.”
NHTSA complaint #11290030, filed 2019-12, 9,700 miles“Takata recall I purchased a 2018 Jeep sahara with 18 miles on it and have brought it to the shop 2 times for death wobble. It still has the issue and its getting worse. The Jeep dealership seems to have no answers on how to fix it. The last issue made me slow down to approximately 20mph on the highway nearly resulting in a rear ending accident.”
NHTSA complaint #11185875, filed 2019-03, 3,000 miles“During highway driving, between 70-75 MPH, when I hit a defect in the road, the car will begin to shake violently. Sometimes it stops when I decelerate, but other times, I have to pull off on to the shoulder. My Jeep was leased in august 2018. I first noticed the shaking in november. I have alerted my dealership's service department.”
NHTSA complaint #11165620, filed 2019-01, 3,500 miles“When traveling above 70mph and hitting a rough place on the road the steering shakes violently including the dash until you slow down to 40mph. This has happened 6+ times now with the local deal ship not knowing how to fix. We were almost rear ended because of this. And thank goodness their wasn't an abandoned vehicle on the shoulder. We have a video of this happening”
NHTSA complaint #11181308, filed 2019-02, 4,125 miles“Death wobble . At highway speeds when hit a bump the front end shakes violently you then have to slow down to 40 MPH to make it stop. The vehicle is brand new and has only 1,200 miles on it. It is going to the shop for round 2 of repairs which I am sure will not remedy the issue. It has the Jeep death wobble and we don't feel safe driving it .”
