“My complaint with Jeep/Stellantis goes far beyond dissatisfaction with a buyback amount. My family leased a new 2025 Jeep Wrangler expecting a safe vehicle, and instead we have been placed in a worse position after dealing with serious recall and safety concerns. FCA has agreed to repurchase our vehicle, yet the process requires us to continue maintaining and driving a vehicle we no longer feel safe using while waiting weeks for the repurchase to be completed. …”
NHTSA complaint #11769412, filed 2026-10“We were at a complete stop, with foot on break when my jeep lunged forward twice , second lunge hit the vehicle in front of me, also that car was at a complete stop. It has lunged 2 other times while at a complete stop .”
NHTSA complaint #11724346, filed 2026-03“As I was driving a service electronic stability control came up on my dash and I lost control of the vehicle. The brakes did not work and it was hard to steer. I almost hit a vehicle and the Jeep kept rolling until it stopped. Then I received an alert that the brakes did system, anti lock brake system, and Electronic Stability System failure. This is very scary my vehicle is a lease and they say they are fixing it but I’m very scared I will lose control of my Jeep while I’m driving.”
NHTSA complaint #11754987, filed 2026-08“After receiving a notification about a uconnect update on my infotainment and next start of my vehicle I experienced 3 loss of acceleration events within relatively short time intervals. When the event occurs, the dash flashes P and states the vehicle needs to be shifted into park, and restarted. First incident, I felt a hard thud when I shifted to drive. Upon the second incident (roughly 200 feet/10 seconds from the first incident), the check engine light came on, and the same message appeared. Forcing me to shift to park, and then restart the vehicle. …”
NHTSA complaint #11693196, filed 2025-10“I was driving on a very busy road and the vehicle lost power. I consider that my life was in danger because of me the traffic piled up and other drivers were furious with me. No matter what I tried, the car simply would not stop. AAA came and was unable to make the car start. It was towed to a dealership. Prior to this I already had two service visits related to the Start Stop warning light coming on in my dashboard. The first time, the service department claimed that they could not figure out what caused it, but they replaced the auxiliary battery that powers the start stop feature. …”
