“I took this vehicle to the dealership for two recalls, but there is no remedy available. I Keep having these issues, every time I drive my vehicle to keep cutting off sometime it wouldn’t start and the warning light for the battery pops up, I am really scared to drive this vehicle and also I’m really scared to charge this vehicle because it might catch fire .”
NHTSA complaint #11718996, filed 2026-02“A software update was pushed to the vehicle and prompted me to update it when I turned the vehicle off. The next time I drove the vehicle, after about one mile, many warnings lights went off, and the vehicle turned off and was not driveable. The vehicle would not restart. Jeep acknowledged that the software update made the vehicle inoperable.”
NHTSA complaint #11693154, filed 2025-10“A serious safety issue that occurred earlier today. While driving with my family on the highway, my 2024 Wrangler 4xe suddenly shut down completely without warning. I was fortunate to pull over safely, but it could have resulted in a serious accident. A complete shutdown with no warning is extremely dangerous and there was no recall.”
NHTSA complaint #11693003, filed 2025-10“Vehicle lost acceleration and power while driving on my way to work. I was able to restart the Jeep and get it off the road. I was able to pull the OBD codes from the Jeep; P1E1D. I then remembered the last time I drove the Jeep, it prompted for a uconnect update (OTA). This morning was the first time driving it since that update.”
NHTSA complaint #11693038, filed 2025-10“My 2024 Jeep Wrangler experiences violent front-end oscillation at highway speeds after hitting bumps, resulting in temporary loss of steering control. The dealer suspects the steering stabilizer but refuses warranty repair due to inability to replicate. This is a safety issue that I am gravely concerned about.”
