Example complaints

Selected from NHTSA records; personal details are removed. They are consumer reports, not findings.

“While driving on the highway my Jeep lost speed and power steering. All the warning lights flashed on and off while dinging. Dealership can't get a code to see what the problem is to fix correctly. Jeep has 2 dangerous recalls that could catch fire while driving or sitting. Both issues put my life at risk. Stellantis denied buy back.”

NHTSA complaint #11702842, filed 2025-12

“Jeep pushed out an OTA update for their Uconnect system. Upon completion of this update, that occurred while I was driving, I lost control of my vehicle. My steering wheel locked up, all of the lights on my dashboard started flashing, and I was instructed to pull the jeep over. I was unable to operate the vehicle and had to be towed.”

NHTSA complaint #11692665, filed 2025-10

“Klamath Falls Dodge Dealership and Stellantis have failed to repair the defects cited in the A7C, 68C and 78C. My vehicle is subject to sudden stops and sudden fires. The vehicle has been at the dealership since 12/28/2025. I filed a claim online and with certified mail with Stellantis. No action has been taken to correct the defects and the vehicle can't be driven in a safe manner.”

NHTSA complaint #11715659, filed 2026-02

“Driving on highway at 70 mph and I lose all power. Message says to shift to park. Jeep will not accelerate when gas pedal is pressed. Had to come to a complete stop, shift to park and luckily it drove for a few more miles to get me off the highway before getting killed. Multiple dash lights came on including check engine.”

NHTSA complaint #11692803, filed 2025-10

“Immediately after updating the UConnect software in my parking lot, I drove away and my Jeep lost power while driving. Engine shut off and said Shift to P to Start. Had to shift to park and restart just to get moving again. Was barely able to get it to the dealership right afterwards and then it happened again while in motion. Happened again and again in the dealership parking lot.”
